Rehearsal Guide: This is an assertive and confident statement regarding God’s love and
mercy for his people.  It opens with an organ flourish, goes into a unison verse one
followed by the sopranos and altos singing verse two.  Verse three calms down a bit and
is written for tenor solo or section.  An a cappella, four-part verse is followed by a
unison closing section.

Make the most of your time by teaching everyone the melody first, the altos their part
on verse two, and the four-part section starting at measure 53.  On each verse, you’ll
need to work the harmonic shift like that found in measures 11 and 12.  It’s really the
only tricky spot.
